Tour Sircuit International Mandalika

The Mandalika International Street Circuit (officially known as Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit) is a racing circuit located in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Kuta, Pujut, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. The circuit has a track length of 4.31 km with 17 turns. Mandalika is planned to host the MotoGP for the first time in March 2022 and the GT World Challenge Asia in October 2022. The Mandalika circuit previously hosted the Indonesian round of the World Superbike Championship in 2021.

Initially, the circuit was reported to have a length of 4.8 km but was later revised to 4.32 km with 19 turns. The circuit design was further shortened to 4.31 km with 17 turns. According to Ricky Baheramsjah, CEO of the Mandalika Grand Prix Association, the number of turns was reduced for safety reasons and replaced with straight sections to “increase overtaking action.” In addition, the circuit design was also considered “more favorable for one of the manufacturers.”

During its inauguration, the circuit had a length of 4.31 km with 17 turns, with a capacity of 50,000 seats in the grandstand and a total capacity of up to 195,700 people. Mandalika uses Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA) type of rougher asphalt, which is expected to enhance tire grip.
